Welcome to Cabana Club! We are a new style of venue for Austin, where you can find many amenities much like a hotel, without the lodging component. We invite you to host your next event or happy hour here, we are a rather spacious venue with a 500 person capacity. 

Relax and shift gears from work mode to happy hour, unwinding for the evening with a drink or a mocktail. Host your coffee meeting in the sun by the pool, or knock out a work session with an iced lavender latte in the comfort of AC. It has organically become a place to work remotely, without working alone. We have designed a space where you can spend the entire day, having fun, being productive, and building connections. 

Cabana Club opened to the public on June 28th, 2024, and with it so much to celebrate. The owners – Scott Withers, Matty Napolilli, John Cleaver, Justus Pinkus, and James Benson – spent over two years pulling this project together into something really special. We love that Cabana Club transports you – perhaps to another destination, to another moment in time, it is the escape we all need sometimes, with the stability of an all-day hospitality provider. 

Enjoy an early morning coffee with service beginning at 7AM, which is also when the pool deck opens. Grey’s Kitchen provides gourmet breakfast and brunch inside the clubhouse, led by the very talented Chef Marco Hernandez. On the East side of our building, a group of food trucks provide additional variety for lunchtime and evening options. Catering is also available for events. 

The adults-only pool is chilled during the summer to keep cool no matter how extreme the heat, or how good the party. During the winter, it is heated to near bathwater temperature for cooler weather use. Surrounding the pool are nine cabanas, four daybeds, and an assortment of tables and chairs and loungers. Cabana Club is a hub of activity in the Shady District, with the energy of our business drawing in a great crowd of creatives, entrepreneurs, young professionals, musicians, travelers, and all sorts of guests. We have opened this combination space to welcome anyone, any time of day. 

There are three sections to the venue – The Clubhouse, The Pergola, and The Pool Deck. All areas have first-come first served seating, with no reservations, day pass or membership required to come by. Totally free for adults interested in a combination of coworking, networking, and hanging by the pool. We serve coffee, cocktails, brunch, breakfast, tacos, sushi, and we are open from early until late. 

 

The Clubhouse

Indoor AC space comfortable for working remotely. Seating available at the bar, booths, high tops, lounge chairs, and sofa. Easily fits 150 people. There is a small stage where we have live music every night, and the atmosphere is cozy and inviting. Lots of plants. 

Great place to read a book and have a coffee or beer, and date spot. Inside the clubhouse we serve breakfast and brunch by Grey’s Kitchen, available for order via QR code throughout Cabana Club. 

Our coffee service is provided by Progress Coffee, roasted locally in Austin. Several of the owners of Progress Coffee overlap with Cabana Club, but they are separate projects. For more information on our sister Progress Coffee & Beer location, please check out progresscoffee.com. 

 

The Pergola

The pergola is ridiculously hi-tech for a pergola, wired with ceiling and angled fans with misters to cool down the large space below the shaded cover. Open when a little morning light feels nice, and closes itself automatically at any detection of rain drops. 

Featuring a beautiful fountain, the shady setting of the pergola is nice during the day for work, watching a football game on the 14′ LED screen, or having brunch. In the early morning, the space occasionally transforms for free yoga classes, markets, and in the evenings makes for a great reception venue. 

 

The Pool Deck 

The pool itself is approximately 28 ft by 15ft with a maximum depth of 4 ft. You can comfortably hangout and enjoy the music on weekends, or enjoy a more chill atmosphere throughout the week. Lounge chairs, tables and chairs are complementary to use, with many guests grabbing a coffee and posting up with their laptop by the pool. We welcome this. 

Cabanas and daybeds are available for rent, with bottle service available. We recommend an evening swim for a more intimate backdrop, and Friday through Sunday for poolside DJs. 

 

The Rules

Kids and dogs are welcome during the day, just not in the pool deck area, which is adults-only. We transition to a 21+ atmosphere after sunset. 

We do not take reservations for tables in the clubhouse, pergola or pool deck. We only take reservations for cabana and daybed rentals, and private events. It is a large space and there is lots of open seating and free parking. Even if your group is 10-20 people – you do not need a reservation, membership, or day pass to come through. Lots of places to settle in and have a great time.

Directions & Parking

We are located at 5012 East 7th Street in the Shady District and look forward to welcoming you in soon. We are a very close drive to the airport, and make a great place to stop on your way in or out of town. The nearest cross street is Shady Lane. 

We are fortunate to have 130 parking spaces on our property. The main lot in front of Cabana Club tends to fill up first, with more parking in the back accessible through Gonzales St. Please drive responsibly, or take a ride when you are unable to drive safely. We value the safety of our guests, our Shady district neighborhood and entire community.
